Well, eight days have gone by, and this is my last post from London, England.
I managed to get my laundry done, which became quite a funny situation, because the house was full of people, both staying through AirBNB, and there for an odd prayer meeting, and then I was running around trying to be a human being. Anyhow, managed through that, left the house, walked around, took the Tube to Knightsbridge, which literally takes you to the entrance of Harrods.
Let's talk about that place for a second. A few points:
1. There was a £35,000 seafoam green tiger covered in crystals... I do not belong there even a little bit.
2. I was totally "beginning of Pretty Woman'd" when I walked in, as was my friend Lynn. Yeah... I think it may have been fair, you know, £35,000 tiger et all.
3. I bought a bag! The one I brought is perfect for fitting everything like a perfect puzzle. As days are going by, in only my first of five countries, I've realized that a little breathing room would be ideal. So, new bag it is! It's very tacky/kitschy/beautiful, but it appears to be a style, and it love it!
Then we went to a place called Pizza Express, which was actually more delicious than the name would lead on. I had a delicious salad with pancetta, chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, goat cheese and an olive oil and balsamic dressing. It was delicious.
(This isn't the location we went to, but one I saw later and wanted to share the look of.)
From there, I said goodbye to my friend Lynn, who is an absolute doll! She taught me how to top up my Oyster Card (they charge you by trip in London, in other words no $133.75 Metro Pass that you may or may not use the equivalent of. You are charged based on what you use/where you go, and top up when needed. Effing brilliant!) and then we said our goodbyes.
I walked for a bit, sat for a bit, took the bus to Picadilly Circus for a bit, and then decided that I wouldn't just go back to the place I am staying and relax... I would go see a Michael Jackson show! I went and bought my ticket (Row A, seat 1... I do not mess around!)' and then grabbed a delicious dinner. I've really lucked out and not had ANY bad food on this London adventure!
(Looks like the bartender was having a bit of a day!)
Next was killing some time before the show, where I walked around, took some picture, bought a mini, Mini Cooper (I decided to purchase one tacky tourist thing for each city I'm in, and this one was too adorable to pass up), and then went to the show.
And then the show! They wouldn't let us take any pictures, even before the show in the theatre, so this is the best I can do...
What you're going to read next is what I literally typed during the intermission of the show (I'm typing this and some of the above bit now, at 12:04am, and other parts were done while waiting for dinner).
Enjoy!
........
You guys, I'm sitting at a Michael Jackson show right now, I thought it would be a good idea to do on my last night. I was right. This thing is insane. It's a mix of the best overacting ever, and some pretty damn good dancing. The costumes are intense, the main guys are hilarious and the main women are representing! For the first 10 minutes, I was confused. It was... tacky. But, I got the point a little further on, and they revealed that people were actually singing and there was a legit band. It didn't seem like that was the case, I guess that means they're really good!
Intermission just happened, and we're about to begin again, and I honestly almost walked out by accident when intermission started. I didn't k
........
Now back to our regularly schedule programming... you'll notice I got cut off. The show started again. What I was about to say was that I didn't know that there was an intermission, so thought it just ended abruptly, for about 6 second, until I saw the Haagen Das man, and knew what the deal was.
The show was very, very good, and the talent was insane. There was one main guy, who the show was clearly designed around, he was simply incredible, his voice and dancing was outrageous. It was all sung live, and there was a live band playing the whole time. I recommend it.
It was tacky, it was cheesy, it was dancey, it was everything it needed to be and more!
Then I walked home, well, half way, it felt pretty far after a full day. I took a taxi the rest of the way. Then I bought some mango, got back "home" and started packing. It was then that I realized that there is no ventilation in the room I'm in, because none of my clothes had dried from 7 hours before. I get on a flight tomorrow... cannot have wet clothes, so, I have concocted an open window, skewed hanger, paper clip, makeshift situation, because of which I believe my clothes will be dry by the morning. If not, plan B is to not care. That should work just fine.
Alright folks, if all goes well with wifi, the next post will be tomorrow from Edinburgh, Scotland! Have a fun Monday!

Loved every post from England. Looking forward to reading your posts from Scotland. Hope your clothes are dry in the morning. Safe flight. xoxo
